Have you ever wondered looked at a plant and wondered .... could I eat that to survive?
Come to the new Outdoor Explorer Series Course: Foraging 101 and learn about the most common edible flora and fauna of Wisconsin (and North America). We are excited to share with you all some tips and tricks to identifying wild plants and a process that tests a plants edibility through a series of increasing your exposure to the natural item over time.
In this class you will learn:
- How to ID 5-10 native/edible plants in WI

Better understand historical uses of foraging in WI and North America

Learn how to Forage for utility purposes (e.g. birch bark, medicinal plants (arnica), wipe-ables)

Discuss LNT ethics when it comes to foraging and create some personal ethical LNT guidelines when it comes to foraging

Learn of some foraging resourceas that can be used worldwide
