- Description

- skippers and crew - come at 2 p.m. to help with PFD's and waivers for our guests
- bring a camp stool or lawn chair if you have one.
- dress for cool temperatures <72 degrees and 12 mph winds>(All sign up spots are now full for this event; please contact Andy for any questions, etc...)
Location: We will meet at the Union Terrace at the Yellow Canopy. (The Yellow Canopy is located behind Memorial Union, near the Hoofer piers.)
Alcohol: Alcoholic drinks are not allowed on the UW Hoofer boats.
Parking: Parking in the campus area might be a challenge; so you may wish to allow a half hour for finding a parking space.

600 N Park StUW "lot 34" - There is a stairway on the Northeast corner of this parking lot. It goes down to the Lakeshore path; and then walk about 3 blocks to the Hoofer piers.

<on Sundays>Waivers: Event participants will be asked to complete a liability waiver.
Event: This is a Hoofer sponsored outreach event.
During this cruise, some members of the Italian Workmen’s club and friends of the Italian Workmen’s club and local Italian American community members plan to sail (on the commemoratively named for the day of the event) “the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria”, i.e., the 3 Tartan 10's.
After the cruise, (at around 4:30 p.m.), some of those that joined the event on the water are planning to meet on the lakeshore for snacks and refreshments.
WHEN: Please join in for the social around 4:30 pm on Sunday, September 8th. Many from the local Italian American community are interested in gathering at that time.
WHERE: Memorial Union lakefront >>> LOOK FOR THE GROUP NEAR THE CRANE, LOCATED TO THE WEST OF THE TERRACE AREA AT A LAWN AREA; <BRING A LAWN CAMP CHAIR FOR COMFORT>
As a side note the IWC (Italian Workmen’s Club) is an integral part of the Madison community and is a strong supporter of the Neighborhood House.
