Try-A-Byte (or Laser) for Racing!

Just walk up and sail!

Here's your chance to sail a Byte (or a Laser), and you don't even need to rig the boat.
You can even race against the 420s in the regular Tuesday evening race!

The instructor will pre-rig a Byte or Laser for you!

Prerequisite: Competence (i.e. a rating) on dinghies (Tech or 420) *plus* prior Hoofer racing experience on a dinghy. No Byte or Laser rating required!

Purpose: Compare our high performance solo boats, namely Bytes or Lasers, to "other" boats in racing conditions. Normally, you will not earn a rating since rigging and de-rigging are not required for this event. Nevertheless, you are welcome to arrive 30 minutes early or stay at the end of the session to learn about the rigging or de-rigging.

Please indicate in your sign up whether you prefer to race a *Byte* or *Laser*.
(Since we only have a limited number of boats for each fleet, boats will be assigned on a first-sign up first-serve basis.)
