Windsurfing Short Board Clinic

Prerequisite: WINDSURFING HEAVY (or Windsurfing light)

Earned from class: WINDSURFING SHORTBOARD LIGHT

Students will learn all of the basics of shortboard sailing in this class. All boards without centerboards are considered shortboards, i.e. all the boards you\'ll see professionals use. Instructor will work with students on balance, planing, more harness and footstrap use, sailing upwind with no centerboard, and perhaps waterstarting. Students will truly learn importance of mast-foot pressure in this class. Students will sail on 152 liter BIC Technos or 159 liter F2 Xantos boards, both introductory shortboards with relatively easy uphauling ability. Short board light rating will be awarded after completion of the windsurfing heavy.
