Description

Are you a new sailor looking to gain some useful skills as we wait for the season to start? Or maybe a returing sailor looking for a refresher? Come join us for a lesson covering some commonly used knots for sailors.

This lesson will cover the following knots:

Square Knot

Figure Eight

Bowline

Double Overhand

Sheet Bend

Round turn and two half hitches

Participants in this lesson looking to follow along side the lesson should endeavor to find something to practice with. What might you have around your home to practice tying knots with? A shoelace? A cord from an old hoodie? Get creative!

Participants signed up for this event will receive an email from the lessons site on the day of the presentation containing a link and password for joining the meeting. Please keep an eye out for it.

This online presentation will be held on the Zoom platform.

Using Zoom is free. You do not need to install the app or create a Zoom account, but doing so may result in a better user experience. Please visit the Zoom website for more information (https://zoom.us).
