Lakefront Live Floaties!

Rent an inner tube for Lakefront live! Cool off and enjoy the music on a flamingo, unicorn, or pineapple floatie available 6pm to 9pm. Life is better on the lake!

This event invites concertgoers to enjoy free, live music from their watercraft on Lake Mendota. Sign up to rent an inflatable pool float for the entirety of the concert, courtesy of Hoofer Sailing Club. We will have a variety of fun designs which will be available on a first come, first served basis.

This event is open to both Hoofer Sailing Club members and non-members. 

1. Complete your reservation before arriving 
   • Payment will be required
   • A waiver will be signed
   • Review our cancellation policy
2. Arrive to the Hoofer Sailing Shop
   • This will be the garage door closest to the yellow canopy on the lakefront.
   • Arrive early if you plan to change, use the bathroom, or rent a locker.  Locker rentals are available for $1 through our front desk, which is located in the lower level overlooking the lake front on the west side of the building. 
3. Let's Float!
   • Lifejackets are required. Bring your own or borrow one of ours.  
4. Return your tube
   • Reservations are for the entirity of the event, 6-9pm
   • Bring your deflated tube and lifejacket back to the Sailing Shop.
   • Don't forget to visit the terrace for food and drinks after!
